The All India Football Federation Grassroots Leaders course kicked-off in Goa yesterday. The course is being organised by the Goa Football Association as part of the GFA-AIFF Grassroots Development Program. This is the fourth AIFF grassroots course organised this year in the country, with more such courses being planned in the coming months.

A total of 34 participants from Goan clubs, the GFA and the Goa Football Development Council are participating in the course. AIFF Director of Coach Education and Technical Director, Academies Scott O’Donell, is the Course Instructor.

The Grassroots Leaders would be trained about the grassroots philosophy, implementation and organisation for their everyday training with children.

Goa is now the fifth State to undertake the AIFF Grassroots Programme after Mizoram, Chandigarh, Maharashtra and Manipur. The Goa Football Association stay committed towards the development of grassroots football in Goa and are undertaking the AIFF Grassroots Program to make it a successful model.
